FALL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN SHOREWOOD

Our friendly, walkable community is packed with special events and activities to celebrate the fall season. We welcome residents and guests to take advantage of all the reasons that make Shorewood, Wis. such a great place to live, to work, to play and to shop!

October 23: Fish for Peace
A Community Benefit for the Peace Learning Center of Milwaukee, Fri., Oct. 23, 6 p.m.

North Shore Presbyterian Church, 4048 N. Bartlett Ave.
Treat yourself to a delicious seasonal dinner of baked fish, roasted potatoes, tossed greens, and other seasonal fruits and vegetables, in support of the Peace Learning Center of Milwaukee. Program highlights include remarks by honorary guest, activist and peace mentor Vel Phillips, and reflections of PLC’s experiences in peace-building and nonviolent conflict resolution with Milwaukee school children. $20 per person with advance reservation ($25 at the door) or $45/family ($50 at the door). October 23-25: Shorewood High School Drama Presents Disney’s Aladdin
Don’t miss Disney’s Aladdin, presented by the Shorewood High School Drama Department. This production is an ideal show for children. In just over an hour, Aladdin, Jasmine, the Genie, Jafar and the rest of the cast will take you to “A Whole New World” with the Disney songs kids know and love. Ticket prices are only $5 for students and $6 for adults. Showtimes are Fri., Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m., Sat., Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sun., Oct. 25t, at 2 p.m. Contact the Box Office at 414.936.6940 to reserve tickets. October 31: Halloweentown in Shorewood
The Shorewood Business District is pleased to partner with the Shorewood School District and SEED (Promoting Educational Excellence in Shorewood Public Schools) for this fall’s Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 31. Shorewood children can celebrate Halloween with fun and safe activities including trick or treating in the Business District from 12-2 p.m. before trick or treating in the residential district from 2-4 p.m. A community costume party and contest at Lake Bluff School, 1600 E. Lake Bluff Blvd., will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. with light refreshments (contest open to all ages). At 7 p.m. a community movie night will feature “Twilight” in the High School Auditorium, Oakland Ave. and Capitol Dr.
