• Public bus transportation provided by the Milwaukee County Transit System links Shorewood’s business district to other areas of Milwaukee.

PART OF A BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Shorewood businesses are represented by a Business Improvement District (BID) that was formed to support businesses and commercial property owners.
• Shorewood’s BID was one of the first to be established in the area in the mid-’90s.
• The Shorewood BID is a guiding force for economic development, an important link to Village government, and the source for innovative marketing programs that enhance the Shorewood brand and attract consumers to the community.

“The Shorewood BID is a proactive organization working to create the most vibrant commercial district in the region. We are a close-knit group of local independent and unique shops, stores and restaurants dedicated to doing business in Shorewood.” – BID Executive Director, Jim Plaisted

“The BID website (www.shorewoodwi.com) is a great resource where people can learn about businesses and services, and also download valuable e-coupons.” – BID Marketing Director, Barb Caprile
